Andrew Russack

Andrew Russack is a professional engineering manager with over 30 years’ experience across the electricity supply and rail industries and is now in engineering consulting.

After a career of over 20 years in the SA electricity industry, Andrew oversaw the introduction of an electrified rail service on the Adelaide metro rail system in 2014. Subsequently, Andrew moved to Melbourne as Head of Electrical Engineering for Metro Trains Melbourne. Since 2019, Andrew has been in engineering consultancy and has been part of a number of high profile rail projects across Australasia, including as power development manager and electrical SME for the Suburban Rail Loop, working with the Shadow Operator on the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport and West projects, advising on the Wellington power upgrade project, substation reviewer on Metronet (Perth) Yanchep line extension and energisation reviewer on Cross River Rail, Brisbane.

Andrew is the immediate past President of Professionals Australia and is a former Board Chair of Member Advantage.

Andrew is a Chartered Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
